Keycoopt, a specialist in recruitment through recommendation and networking, offers local authorities and EPCIs its “Lokal Job” digital citizen platform. More than just an employment portal, “Lokal Job” enables local authorities to involve their residents and put them in touch with local companies to meet their recruitment needs.
We tell you more!
Local employment, a recurring concern
For towns, local authorities and EPCIs, local employment remains a recurring issue. Despite the proliferation of job-seeking tools, territories are faced with persistent unemployment. Paradoxically, many local businesses are also facing a shortage of manpower, with disparities between sectors and professions. The challenge for towns, local authorities and EPCIs is to make this hidden job market as transparent as possible, by giving local residents a clear idea of the opportunities available in their area. But they also need to make it easier for jobseekers and employers to get in touch! Lokal Job’s conviction is that citizens should play an active role in employment!
With “Lokal Job”, Keycoopt has decided to bring its expertise in collaborative recruitment and to implement its innovation at the service of local authorities and EPCIs.
Keycoopt offers a digital and socially responsible employment solution to respond locally :
- the needs of local residents and job seekers.
- to the needs of businesses (particularly VSEs and SMEs).
Indeed, since 2012, Keycoopt has been digitalizing and professionalizing the principle of cooptation, in the form of a collaborative platform.
As a reminder cooptation is a recommendation by a third party (the “coopteur”) of a person in his or her network for recruitment purposes. An innovation that Keycoopt has also made available to large companies and ETIs, since 2015, with its Recruitment by Co-optation and Internal Mobility solution.
Convinced that the advantages seen in the corporate world (speed of recruitment, lower costs, employee involvement and employer attractiveness) are possible on a local level, Keycoopt is launching “Lokal Job”, its collaborative, citizen-based platform.
Thanks to the platform, local residents have access to all job offers at local level and can thus :
- apply.
- recommend someone in their network.
- share the offer on your social networks.
Just as in the corporate world, where employees become actors in HR projects, citizens become actors in local employment!
How does it work?
Citizens at the heart of the employment approach
Make the job market more transparent thanks to the “Lokal Job” platform (in the colors of the local authority or EPCI concerned), local companies and residents are put in touch with each other. This makes the local job market more transparent.
Local companies (especially SMEs and VSEs) can post their job offers on the platform, increasing their local visibility.
In this way, the local authority (or EPCI) makes available to VSEs and SMEs a digital tool usually reserved for large companies. Companies benefit from a genuine service to optimize their recruitment.
Facilitating local applications
Residents can consult and receive all the job offers available in their area, in line with their skills, interests and network of contacts. The platform gives them direct, easy access to all the opportunities available in the area.
With just a few clicks on the platform, citizens can apply!
They can also recommend someone in their network for these offers.
Developing territorial co-optation
In fact, “Lokal Job” also makes it easy to recommend someone for a job.
Co-optation strengthens links between residents and boosts trust in the community/company/resident trio. It also speeds up recruitment thanks to :
- recommendations from local residents who were not looking for or even aware of local opportunities.
- quality candidate profiles (on average, 10.4 recommendations are enough for 1 company recruitment).
Territorial co-optation complements local applications.
“Trust your residents to find the candidates your local businesses need!”
Turning citizens into ambassadors for their region
In addition to being able to apply or recommend, citizens have a third option: Share available offers on social networks!
Who better than local residents to showcase the assets and businesses of their town or region?
Citizens thus become Ambassadors for their Territory within their network, and increase the visibility of shared offers (thus multiplying the chances of finding candidates). To keep the dialogue going, bring this new territorial community to life and keep its residents and ambassadors informed, local authorities and EPCIs can also communicate on the platform’s news feed about: economic news, local employment events, etc.
“Lokal Job” enables local authorities to provide a local response to the needs of citizens and businesses, by digitalizing the way they connect with each other. Through collaboration, transparency of the job market and ease of applying for opportunities close to home, citizens are placed at the heart of the employment process.
